THE ALCHEMY OF EFFORT AND GRACE * SPECIAL THANKSGIVING CLASS

ahddani copyA SPECIAL THANKSGIVING YOGA CLASS with AHD KAMEL & DANIELLE ABISAAB / SATURDAY NOVEMBER 29 / 10:00 AM > 1:00 PM / Register union2yoga@hotmail.com

Learning to balance the interplay of effort and grace through our yoga practice allows us to harmonize our outer actions in life with our inner awareness.

We paddle along the sea of life by our own strength, trying to propel ourselves forward, in an EFFORT to catch a wave of freedom, compassion and expansion towards more fertile grounds.
Along with this essential part of our spiritual growth, there is also the waiting on GRACE. Woven in and out of our striving is another reality: the sweet surrender to all that is, as it is. Paddling gives way to floating in the deep waters of our being, waiting, praying, watching the horizon.

The purpose of this special class is to raise our own awareness on how effort to change is intimately interwoven with an intrinsic need to access a contemplative dimension and how we can harness both opposing energies to express gratitude to and welcome all that shows up in our lives, the trials and tribulations as well as the delights and contentment.

In the first part of this special journey, Ahd H Kamel will lead you into a 1.5 hour dynamic JIVAMUKTI flow weaving the principle of GRACEFUL EFFORT to move beyond your limitations. In the second part of the class, Danielle Abisaab Yoga Holic will follow suit with a 1.5 hour RESTORATIVE flow rooted in the principle of EFFORTLESS GRACE in accepting your limitations.
